I conduct research in seismic tomography with an emphasis on obtaining reliable model uncertainties to assess the robustness of the model features.

The goal is to image the structure of the Earth’s interior to improve our understanding of the physical processes that take place inside our planet.

My group works on a variety of subjects such as mapping the lithosphere-asthenosphere boundary (LAB) in oceanic and continental regions, modeling the thermal nature of the oceanic LAB, detecting seismic anisotropy near subduction zones, and in the deep upper mantle. More recently, we started working on modeling the interior of Mars.
